Trauma-Informed therapy

My approach primarily focuses on addressing past experiences that are contributing to current sypmtoms. I often use techniques from Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients process their past, while using solutions-focused therapy to help clients meet more short-term goals and cope with the emotions that arise when processing difficult memories.

I also believe in focusing on a client’s strengths and helping them learn to utilize these rather than focusing on weaknesses and prescribing remedies to these weaknesses.
